What is the Water Wise Education Team?

A dynamic team that offers edutaining (educational & entertaining) programmes, puppet shows, roadshows and education material in order to assist YOU in becoming “Water Wise”.

The WWET service is available at schools, or an external venue of your choice, in the Johannesburg, Pretoria and Vereeniging areas.

  1. Nursery schools (ages 4-6).

What are the costs?

Programmes are FREE.

PLEASE NOTE: These programmes cannot be used as a fund-raising opportunity.

Can the team help with water quality testing?

The Rand Water Nature Centre (Glenvista) and the Vereeniging Purification Station have equipment that learners can use to test the water quality of river water, tap water and/or bottled water for school projects. This testing can be done at a school or at a water source.

Costs: R50 for 1-4 samples and R5 per sample thereafter.

Rand Water can offer a range of Water Wise educational services for teachers and adults at a school or other venue:

May tour companies book school groups on behalf of schools?

Only school staff may make bookings with Rand Water, and not tour companies.
