Water Wise is the environmental awareness and education programme of Rand Water, committed to promoting the value of water and inspiring responsible, efficient, and sustainable water use.

As one of the world’s water-scarce countries, South Africa faces growing pressure on its limited water resources. Population growth, urbanisation, industrial development, pollution, wetland degradation, invasive alien plants, and the impacts of climate change all place increasing strain on the country’s water supply. These challenges highlight the urgent need for every South African to value water and use it wisely.
