On 29 February 2024, the Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Rural Development & Environment (GDARD), in collaboration with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment (DFFE), Emfuleni Municipality, Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo, and Rand Water (Water Wise) celebrated Wetlands Day at Mafatsane Community Hall in Everton.
